Over the past few months, the developers have done some demolition and infrastructure work at the Juniper Street towers site. Now that the project’s financing is in place, the developers are now ready to commence the actual construction phase. They believe it will transform the former Einstein’s and Joe’s Restaurant sites into residential apartments suited for Atlanta’s active lifestyle.
Development plans for the Juniper Street tower project
The Juniper Street tower project will feature a 36 story Northern tower and another 33-story Southern tower. The Northern tower will have 320 units, while the Southern tower will have 167 units in total. Besides the residential component, both buildings will offer ground level retail spaces.
According to Middle Street’s Director, Ed Alexander, the Juniper Street towers will be at the epicenter the city’s premier office submarket. In his opinion, this block of Midtown is one of the best in the Southeast. Especially since the project’s location is surrounded by the vibrant restaurants, nightlife, museums, and retail destinations. He also said it’s just one block away from Piedmont Park and its 185 acres of greenspace and trails. Therefore, future tenants will have access to the Atlanta Beltline, including all the amenities within the project’s vicinity.
Other partners involved in the Juniper Street tower project include Bank OZK and Related Fund Management who provided the funds. Brasfield & Gorri will be the project’s general contractor, while Brock Hudgins Architects handle the architectural designs. CID Design Group will serve as the interior designer for the project.
