Firethorn Trust has chosen Glencar to construct a 340,000-square-foot logistics and industrial building. The project is known as Barnsley 340 and is located at the Gateway 36 development in South Yorkshire.

Barnsley 340, a 24-acre logistics site development, will have 320,000 square feet of Grade. Additionally, it will have a logistics space and 20,000 square feet of office space. It will be delivered as net zero carbon in construction. Furthermore, it will have best-in-class future-proofed specifications, and aim for the BREEAM “Excellent” certification.

The region continues to benefit from the ongoing inbound investment. Barnsley 340 overlooks the Dearne Valley Parkway, less than one mile from Junction 36 of the M1. Later this year, construction on the site will begin, and it is expected to be finished by Q2 2023.
