Deal Signed for Construction of Solar-Diesel Battery Facility for CWT Plant in Abu Dhabi

A was recently signed for the construction of a solar-diesel battery facility for Cleanco’s Waste Treatment (CWT) plant in Abu Dhabi. It was signed between SirajPower and Cleanco Waste Treatment.

SirajPower is a dedicated solar company in Dubai, UAE. It provides comprehensive turnkey solutions for commercial and industrial solar applications. These solutions include development, financing, construction, and operation. Cleanco Waste Treatment on the other hand is one of the main service providers of medical waste collection in the UAE.  In addition, the company provides transport, treatment, and disposal services to the public and private sectors.

The signing ceremony took place at Dubai Investment Park. The latter is a unique, self-contained mixed-use industrial, commercial and residential zone. Dubai Investments Park Development Company LLC operates the park. 

Aim for the solar-diesel-battery facility for the CWT plant in Abu Dhabi

As per the agreement, SirajPower will develop a fully-financed 2 MVA solar-diesel battery facility for Cleanco’s Waste Treatment (CWT) plant in Abu Dhabi. The facility aims to provide a reliable power supply to Cleanco via a hybrid system of solar PV, diesel generator, and battery.

As a result, CWT’s currently diesel-powered waste treatment plant will be able to reduce its fuel consumption. Furthermore, it will reduce its operational expenditures and carbon footprint. Generally, the solar-diesel battery facility will enable the Al Dhafra-based plant to save up to 685 tonnes of CO2 a year. This will ultimately benefit the UAE’s sustainable vision with no upfront investment.
