Leading Dubai-based real estate developer and manager, Ithra Dubai, has announced the launch of the Dubai Gold Souq Extension project which is aimed at rejuvenating Dubai’s historic heart of commerce as well as offering elevated trading and shopping experience. 

The project will help the facility to offer an experience that is more urban featuring superior facilities such as co-working spaces, restaurants, workshops, covered parking, and a nearby waterfront promenade. The project also includes shaded walkways, a range of hotels that cater to not just residents but tourists as well as entrepreneurs from all around the world.

Reportedly, out of the 295 shops that are a part of the Dubai Gold Souq Extension, 50 were opened during the project’s soft launch by various jewellery brands. For the grand opening, Ithra Dubai said that there will be more specialty restaurants as well as brands that will be setting up shops.

Fully owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Ithra Dubai stated that the Dubai Gold Souq Extension project is set to reignite Dubai’s reputation as the city of Gold while maintaining the cultural characteristics as well as the charm of the original souk. 

CEO and Director of Ithra Dubai, Issam Galadari in particular said that the extension project is to serve as a tribute to Dubai’s legacy of trade and that the company was proud to be a part of such an honourable tribute adding that the project will be one of Dubai’s top cultural attractions and top of the world’s destinations, especially for jewellery.

Furthermore, Issam revealed that the extension project will be the crowning jewel of the Deira Enrichment Project; a modern community project being developed for business, residential living, commerce as well as leisure.
