A memorandum of understanding has been signed for the construction of a luxury cruise terminal at the Jeddah Central development. The MoU was signed between the project’s developer, Jeddah Central Development Company (JCDC) ad Cruise Saudi.
The latter is fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia which has reportedly received recognition as a specialist in the development of cruise ecosystems. JCDC and Cruise Saudi will work hand in hand on the design of the terminal. Additionally, the two firms will also work together on the marina phase within the Jeddah Central Project.Â

The luxury cruise terminal aims to give Jeddah visitors and residents a new experience of the coastal areas. Moreover, the project aims to foster the development of the Saudi marine tourism industry. Furthermore, the luxury cruise terminal aims to provide visitors and residents to Jeddah with new ways of experiencing the coastal areas.

The CEO of JCDC commented on the project. Engineer Ahmen bin Abdul Aziz Al Sulaim confirmed that they aim to develop a world-class marina. The marina, he continued, will include a luxury cruise destination. Furthermore, he noted that Jeddah’s proximity to the sea has been of great influence on its cultural and economic development. Thus, the project will contribute to its rich maritime legacy.
On the other hand, the CEO of Cruise Saudi also commented on the project. Lars Clasen noted that the MoU supports their expansion goals and they are more than pleased to be working with JCDC. Alongside their project collaborator, he stated that they will explore a myriad of opportunities. More especially that the luxury cruise operations will have enabled within the entire project. Lars concluded by stating that they aim to provide the finest marine experience.
