Moca financial Inc. has announced its plans to build its Headquarters in Bastrop Industrial Park; a google-like campus that will portray a vibe of Silicon Valley in the city of Bastrop.

Moca’s new Headquarters in Bastrop Industrial Park will feature a campus similar in design to those of Google or Facebook, with plenty of open space and bike trails. This headquarters  will also include an amphitheater and some water features. Its campus will contain at least three buildings; two of which will house up to 100 employees, while the third building will have rooms that can house about 300 employees.

This new Headquarters in Bastrop Industrial Park, is to be built on a 26.5 acre site which was purchased from Bastrop Economic Development Corp (BEDC) at $900,000. Moca financial Inc., also went into an incentive agreement with BEDC, which was signed off by Moca Ventures Nebraska LLC, a sister company to Moca Financial.

The terms for the purchase and incentive agreement state that BEDC will reimburse MOCA Ventures the entire $900,000 which was spent on acquiring the land, if the company makes a minimum investment of $10.7 million for the development of an office complex that is at least 40,000 square feet.

This office complex was originally proposed to house software engineers, a call center, and other business development operations. The deadline given for completing this office building is  January 1, 2026 and if the company is successful, it will receive a certificate of occupancy from the city to be reimbursed.

Moca Financial hopes to break ground on the first two buildings for its new headquarters in Bastrop Industrial Park, in about nine months and expects them to become operational in a year’s time.

According to the CEO of Moca Financial, John Burns, the company HQ would bring something different to Bastrop, which he described as a charming little town that has remained relatively rural when compared to the booming growth seen in many other Austin suburbs.

Burns, who owns a farm near Bastrop,  also said his employees would rather drive to the new Headquarters in Bastrop Industrial Park rather than getting held up in traffic at the more urban locations. He predicted that Bastrop would become the next big growth corridor in the Austin metro.
