The London Borough of Hounslow has approved plans for a social housing development in the car park adjacent to Hounslow West tube station. The housing scheme is being developed by A2Dominion. This is in collaboration with TTL Properties, the commercial property company of Transport for London.
The 1.5-hectare social housing development in Hounslow is designed by HKR architects. It will include 348 new flats distributed across four blocks. Furthermore, all of them will be affordable through a combination of shared ownership and London affordable rent. There will also be 950 square meters of new retail space. Furthermore, changes will be made to the public realm and a tube station on the London Underground.

The social housing development in Hounslow will offer a new perspective on sustainable housing
“A2Dominion focuses on developing and maintaining high-quality, affordable homes. We are dedicated to future investment in Hounslow and the environs,” said Steven Waite, technical and commercial director at A2Dominion. These new homes provide an opportunity for locals and those who work in the area to become a part of a thriving community.
“Our collaboration with Transport for London is bringing a new perspective to sustainable housing. Consequently, they have a focus on green energy and transportation connections to the rest of London.
Anjna Farmah, property development manager at Transport for London, stated, “We are using our land to help tackle the housing crisis. Furthermore, it will help deliver the high-quality homes the capital desperately needs.
The project is intended to preserve the appearance of the Grade II listed station. It will also improve customer access to platforms. There will also be a variety of community improvements, such as commercial spaces, a new public square, better pedestrian routes, and improved cycle parking.”
