Major renovation works for Sitra Mall, a popular shopping location in Bahrain have officially begun. This was announced by the Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). Reportedly the project aims to introduce an enhanced array of retail options. Additionally, the mall aims to introduce new drive-throughs as well as dine-in restaurants.

Mohammed Jalal Contract will carry out the transformative renovative works. These include the entrances, food courts, and common areas of the mall. The work will also be carried out on the mall’s toilets as well other facilities. Moreover, the mall’s external façade and electrical systems alongside the road network will receive an upgrade too.

Significance of the Sitra Mall renovation and upgrade project

The major renovation works for the Sitra Mall Project are well in alignment with the Bahrain Development Bank’s strategy that aims to provide ongoing support to Bahrain’s private sector. Furthermore, the project also aims to support the small and medium-sized businesses ecosystem in line with the Economic Vision 2030.

The CEO of Sitra Mall spoke about the project. Dalai Alqais noted that its location’s accessibility and scenic seaside views offer guests a unique experience. Moreover, the refurbishment works will contribute to unlocking the property’s potential. Additionally, the major renovation works will unlock the property’s ability to serve the communities around and in Sitra better.

Most importantly, the project will create opportunities for investments as well as business. The General Manager of Mohammed Jalal also spoke about the project. Heath Moxham ensured that the project’s completion will be in line with international benchmarks. Most importantly, the project will be completed on time and within budget alongside Bahrain’s governance frameworks.
