The 23-story JW Marriot Luxury Hotel Charlotte which was co-developed by White Lodging and Crescent Communities is set to make its grand opening this August in North Carolina.
Located across the street from the Charlotte Convention Center, at the corner of Stonewall and College streets in uptown, the hotel contains 381 rooms, with 34 suites. Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows that provide sunset and city views, with upscale amenities and luxurious bathrooms.Â

Construction on this hotel started over two years ago, before the pandemic and according to the general manager of the hotel David Malmberg, the target audience for JW Marriott hotel are mid-week business travelers. He also said he was confident that Charlotte would recover from COVID-19 setback.
JW Marriot Luxury Hotel Charlotte was built as a tribute to Queen Charlotte and its designs were inspired by Queen Charlotte’s dressing patterns and color selections. Especially the designs of the lavish custom chandeliers which were made based on patterns and colors she wore in royal portraits.Â
The hotel was designed to capture natural light that illuminates every floor, it also includes 22,000 square-feet of event space, a full-service spa, two restaurants, and a rooftop bar complete with pool with private cabanas.
The Spa by JW is one the many exclusive features of the JW Marriot Luxury Hotel, featuring a luxurious oasis and providing hotel guests a restorative escape in the heart of the city, with a full menu of spa treatments which include massages, body wraps, facials, manicures and pedicures. Services will be offered for men, women and kids, with separate lounges for men and women.
Three new destination dining options will also be paired with the hotel which are the Dean’s Italian Steakhouse delivering American classics with Italian flair, Caroline’s Oyster Bar offering seafood selections and the Aura Rooftop Bar located on the fifth floor.
