Developer Glenbrook received £3.5m from the Getting Building Fund to help expedite the Glenbrook Stok office project, which was last year granted planning permission. Glenbrook revealed earlier in September that Manchester-based City Build as been appointed as the lead contractor for the project.
After completion, Stok will have two big open floorplates of 13,300 sq ft and 15,500 sq ft on the first and second floors. The ground floor will have 7,000 sq ft of office rooms, for Princes Street. Furthermore, Stok will have an approximate space of 20,000 sq ft in the basement for leisure occupiers or as additional offices. “The demolition and strip out works have been ongoing behind the scene and have done some remodelling to the atrium to deliver natural light through the structure, including the basement,” uttered Chris Lloyd, Glenbrook’s investment director. “City Build are a amazing local firm and we believe that with the grant funding now available we can make better progress to deliver this super central office project for Stockport,” he later added.
