HydroGraph secures a 10-year acetylene supply deal and land lease for a new graphene facility in Bellville, Texas, targeting 360 tons/year.

A new graphene manufacturing facility in Bellville, Texas will target production of up to 360 tons per year of ultra-pure graphene material, after HydroGraph USA Inc. signed definitive agreements securing a decade-long feedstock supply and a long-term land lease at the site.

HydroGraph USA, the U.S. subsidiary of HydroGraph Clean Power Inc., finalized the agreements with Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc., which the company describes as the largest supplier of acetylene to the U.S. wholesale market. The deal marks HydroGraph’s first large-scale U.S. graphene production facility.

Supply and Land Agreements

Under the Acetylene Purchase Agreement, HydroGraph USA will buy acetylene for the Bellville facility directly from Western International via a dedicated pipeline connection, under an initial ten-year term with renewal options. Acetylene serves as the primary feedstock for HydroGraph’s Hyperion Reactors, which convert hydrocarbon feedstocks into synthetic Fractal Graphene™ through a continuous manufacturing process.

A separate Ground Lease Agreement grants HydroGraph USA a long-term lease for land at Western International’s Bellville facility, where HydroGraph will construct, own and operate the new plant. The co-located setup pairs the plant directly with Western International’s acetylene production, storage, transportation and distribution infrastructure.

Facility Specifications and Timeline

HydroGraph plans to break ground following permitting and site preparation, with the facility opening targeted for the first half of 2027. The initial build totals 40,000 square feet at an estimated cost of $5-6 million. With a targeted capacity of up to 360 tons per year of Fractal Graphene™ once fully equipped with Hyperion Reactors.

The company intends to install an initial six Hyperion Reactors at an estimated cost of $2 million. With a second phase of six additional reactors planned for expansion. HydroGraph plans to use third-party providers to accelerate reactor construction.

Designed with room to grow, the site could eventually support more than 750 tons per year of production across approximately 80,000 square feet of covered space. Including post-processing, inventory and distribution operations.

Austin Headquarters Buildout

HydroGraph is separately installing three Hyperion Reactors at its newly opened Austin headquarters for development purposes. Those reactors are expected to add up to 30 tons per year of capacity starting in September 2026. That is, following ongoing construction focused on acetylene storage and other site upgrades.

Additionally, the Bellville project adds to a growing pipeline of domestic advanced carbon materials facilities. Graphite One Inc. is advancing a similar onshoring strategy with its Active Anode Materials facility in Conneaut, Ohio, having signed an engineering contract in June 2026 to move that project from planning into detailed design and production-line integration. Together, the two facilities reflect a broader push to build U.S.-based supply chains for critical battery and advanced materials manufacturing.
