The construction works for Musandam Zipline, the longest of its kind in Oman, are still ongoing and on track with 65% of the entire project already complete. The project runs from the top of a mountain to the Musandam region

The 1800-meter dual zipline project starts from Jebel Fitt and passes through scenic landscapes of Khor Qadi and the Mokhi area over the coast of Wilayat of Khasab to the upcoming Atana Khasab Hotel. 

The objective of the Musandam Zipline

The Musandam Zipline project is developed in an effort to attract more tourists to the country, especially within the Musandam Governorate. During an interview with Muscat Daily, the Assistant Director to the Heritage and Tourism Department in Musandam Governorate, Nofal bin Mohammad Al Kamzari, stated that the project could be classified as a distinctive addition to the adventurous face of tourism.

The Assistant Director further revealed and confirmed that the development and construction work for the road that leads up to the zipline site has already been completed. Nofal bin Mohammad also added that the ministry is working towards speedy completion of the project that is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of this year.

Oman, without a doubt, has been putting in tremendous effort towards boosting tourism in the country through an array of various other projects. In 2018, the country began work on its first adventure resort while in April this year, it unveiled six projects that include 18 investment opportunities within the tourism sector that hold a total value that is worth $2.25 billion.
