This exciting development will introduce attractions and immersive areas to elevate the experience that visitors have come to love. The expansion, named “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain” will bring the two lands to life with construction scheduled to kick off as early as next week.
The vision for Magic Kingdom is ambitious, with permits already submitted to start work in Frontierland. The first new land in this Walt Disney World expansion will be themed around Disney Pixars “Cars” franchise. Will feature two thrilling attractions;
Rally Race Adventure: A paced-ride that will take guests on an exhilarating race, through rugged landscapes inspired by the American West.

A new family friendly attraction based on the “Cars” theme is in the works to provide visitors with a fun and engaging experience although specific details are yet to be revealed.
Apart from the “Cars” area Magic Kingdom will unveil a Disney Villains land as part of the Walt Disney World expansion. This intriguing section will transport guests into the realms of Disney’s villains featuring two major attractions along with themed dining and shopping options. Construction of these areas in Frontierland is scheduled to continue until 2025.

At the heart of Tropical Americas lies Pueblo Esperanza, a picturesque town at the heart of the new area. Visitors can explore a market a magnificent hacienda and a central fountain where local villagers come together to share stories and honor their heritage. - Indiana Jones Adventure: Situated within a temple this exhilarating ride invites guests on an adventurous journey with the legendary archaeologist.
- Encanto Themed Experience: Guests will step into a casita inspired by Disney’s “Encanto,” immersing themselves in the world of this beloved tale.
- Tropical Carousel: Featuring animals from Disney tales this carousel is an addition for families that captures the spirit of the Tropical Americas.

In addition to these offerings Hollywood Studios will undergo transformations as part of the Walt Disney World expansion plans. Construction is set to begin next year on an area inspired by Pixars “Monsters Inc.” Here visitors will enter the movie realm of Monstropolis, where laughter fuels the city.
A major highlight of this area is Hollywood Studios first suspended coaster promising guests an exciting journey through the iconic door vault alongside familiar characters, like Mike and Sulley.
In the years fans of Star Wars can anticipate an addition, to the Millennium Falcon; Smugglers Run attraction. Scheduled to open in 2026 this revamped experience will introduce characters from “The Mandalorian,” such as Grogu bringing a dimension to this ride.
