A contractor for the Al Habtoor Project in Dubai has been appointed by the leading real estate developer, Al Habtoor Group. Right along Sheikh Zayed Road, the development will be among towering structures, offering a lavish living experience. Moreover, the residential project will feature 81 floors, in addition to 1,701 keys.

Engineering company, China Railway 18th Bureau Group Ltd will serve as the AED 2.7 billion residential tower’s main contractor. In total, the Al Habtoor Project accepted 10 bidders, while three got through to shortlisting.

The appointment’s decision was based on certain criteria. This included full technical compliance for state-of-the-art quality, alongside a successful track record with mega projects. The multi-billion high-rise development is scheduled for completion within 36 months.

While commenting on the project, the Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group expressed satisfaction with its chosen contractor. Khalaf Ahmad al Habtoor said that the tower’s complexity requires a unique and progressive construction approach. Furthermore, the project strives to deliver the Al Habtoor Tower in record time at the highest quality.

With the use of heavy equipment from Bauer, the project’s contractor revealed that the building’s construction will be using a top-down method. The firm further explained that upon completion, its carbon footprint will be about half of the other buildings of similar construction.

Back in December 2022, Al Habtoor Group unveiled plans to carry out three huge residential projects in 2023. With a total cost of AED 9.5 billion, the company’s Founding Chairman said that the planned projects would include residential towers. Across various areas in Dubai, one of them, Khalaf noted will be the largest in the world. This will be in terms of the number of apartments and size.

The first project’s location will be within Al Habtoor City with a total cost of AED 4.5 billion. Meanwhile, the second real estate project in JBR will have a total cost of AED 2.5 billion. As for the third project, its location will be in the Dubai Marina with a total cost of AED 2.5 billion.
