EverBank "Stadium of the Future"

The transformation of the EverBank “Stadium of the Future” is officially moving forward, with huge steel structures dominating the Jacksonville skyline. A massive sports and entertainment corridor is finally coming together in Florida. In particular, the Jacksonville Jaguars and city officials collaborated on this $1.4 billion megaproject. There were some minor logistical delays in the upcoming venue modernization.

Today, a huge amount of public-private investment ensures long-term economic revitalization in the area. These future baseload construction milestones are the sole livelihood of thousands of Floridians. Major construction firms closely partnered on these historic tech rebuilds. This domestic industrial base can be restored and high-tech sports revenues will be guaranteed for another hundred years.

Another is the USF On-Campus football stadium is a planned sports facility intended to provide a dedicated home venue for the university’s football program while supporting athletics and campus activities. The project has an estimated development value of approximately $340 million.

The University of South Florida  selected Manhattan Construction Company, H.J. Russell & Company, andDuCon, LLC as the construction management team for the project following a competitive procurement process.

Scope of the EverBank “Stadium of the Future” Exoskeleton Construction

The engineering execution to rebuild the Floridian architectural landscape is incredibly complex. Over the coming years, a giant steel exoskeleton will be built over the current venue. They will then install advanced ETFE shade canopy systems onsite. Workers will eventually be adding significant structural capacity around the entire perimeter. They will also upgrade key logistics, communications and wide concourse containment systems.

The construction consortium successfully kept the active venue fully operational recently. In addition, crews plan to start making initial commercial canopy capabilities by 2028. In the end, this particular tech infrastructure effectively lowers interior temperatures by as much as 15 degrees.

Community Financing and Future Megaprojects

This particular construction phase was achieved through huge local 50/50 public-private partnership contracts. The Jacksonville city council was strongly in favor of the $625 million public funding goals. Jaguar’s executives provided equal significant financial commitments too. The rapid growth and high level of community confidence was commended by state officials.

This project is one of several other tech megaprojects in the region today. For instance, an ongoing structural steel installation initiative advances quickly over Gate 1. A key driver is the growing need for updated NFL stadiums. One of the biggest drivers is the demand for modernized NFL stadiums. In the end, these investments are integrated to ensure America’s coastal sports corridors continue to flourish.
