The ADCC natural gas pipeline in South Texas is a 43-mile, 42-inch intrastate pipeline connecting the Agua Dulce hub to the Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) facility. It began commercial operations on July 1, 2024, and functions as vital midstream infrastructure for U.S. LNG exports.
The pipeline’s key operational and geographic details include:
The system transports up to 1.7 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) of gas. It is engineered to be expandable up to 2.5 Bcf/d. Whistler Pipeline was owned by a group that included Whitewater, MPLX LP, and a joint venture between Stonepeak and West Texas Gas.
The final investment decision for the project was taken in May 2022.
It was taken by MPLX, WhiteWater Midstream, and a JV between Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners and West Texas Gas for the Whistler Pipeline extension project. Thus, it will help boost mainline capacity from 2Bcf/d to 2.5Bcf/d.
Other Projects

Other than the ADCC natural gas pipeline, the US is also advancing the Algonquin Gas Transmission Line Expansion into New England.
Enbridge has noted its planning a $300 million expansion of the Algonquin Gas Transmission line into New England. The move sets the stage for a political battle over the future of the Northeast’s energy system. The Calgary-based pipeline company recently briefed the National Energy Dominance Council on its expansion plans. These are according to reports from a White House official.
The firm is also briefing potential buyers on its plans. This is according to an industry official who spoke to E&E Politico. The official said the company’s efforts appear to be in their early stages. “The message was, ‘Get ready to do your modeling work,’” the person said.

The three additional compressor stations are being installed. The stations that are part of the project are expected to be operational by September 2023. Additionally, the Cheniere Board of Directors decided to spend money on the Corpus Christi Stage Three Liquefaction Project (CCL Stage three) in June 2022. It is anticipated that it will produce more than ten million tonnes of LNG annually.
The largest producer of natural gas in the world now is the United States. The principal uses of natural gas in the United States are for heating and power generation. Thus, it accounts for around one-third of the country’s total primary energy consumption. The expansion of the global natural gas market has led to an increase in the usage of liquefied natural gas or LNG. Additionally, most natural gas in the United States is delivered in its gaseous state by pipeline.
