Construction of the first phase of the new Mills Cancer and Rheumatology Center at Cass Regional Medical Center in Missouri is now complete. The capacity for infusion therapy has increased from five to seven bays. Furthermore, the new bays are larger and have windows with views of the healing garden at the hospital.
The Mills Cancer and Rheumatology Center’s construction started in March of this year. This was thanks in part to a gift from Harrisonville businessman Bill Mills. The renovation of the previous infusion room will be the next stage of work. It will become the new waiting room. The project is expected to be completed fully by mid-2023.
A brief about the Cass Regional Medical Center in Missouri
Cass Regional Medical Center contains a 10-bed behavioral health unit and a four-bed intensive care unit. Additionally, the critical access hospital has a 21-bed medical/surgical unit. Emergency care, general and specialty surgery, and rehabilitation treatments, such as nationally known cardiac rehabilitation and diabetes education programs, are all offered by Cass Regional Medical Center.

Furthermore, the hospital provides cutting-edge diagnostic tools like MRI, CT, and PET-CT scanning. Moreover, there is digital and 3-D mammography, nuclear medicine, and a sleep research lab with national accreditation.

The layout’s huge windows that look out onto the gardens make receiving infusions for cancer treatment and rheumatic diseases a little more enjoyable. With this building, the Cass County community can be proud of many accomplishments.
