The 75 MW Colorado Hunter solar farm project is one step closer to construction as Torch Clean Energy and DE Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) have reached financial notice to proceed. The Hunter project, which is situated in Arapahoe County, was created by Cypress Creek Renewables and was later purchased by a joint venture of DESRI and Torch. For the full capacity, the project has two power purchase agreements, one with CORE Electric Cooperative and the other with Holy Cross Energy (HCE). Fifth Third Bank National Association and National Cooperative Services Corporation acted as the project’s coordinating lead arrangers and lenders for the acquisition, construction, and operation.
