The Al Marjan Island is a group of 4 man-made islands located in the Al Jazirah Al Hamra, Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The region already has seen several global hotel operators making significant investments. Impressively, the project will span well over one million square feet.

The Luxury Resort Project Will Expand Al Marjan’s Room Capacity By 30%
The project’s prime plot has been acquired by the Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH). The $272 million luxurious development within Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), will feature 1,000 rooms. The CEO of Marjan spoke about the project and its advantageous location. Abdulla Al Abdooli said that Ras Al Khaimah’s strength lies in its diverse economy. Moreover, the region’s leadership places focus on the promotion of manufacturing, trade as well as hospitality, and tourism. The CEO further noted that the emirate has enhanced its reputation as a hospitality, tourism, and investment hub. Thus, RAK serves as an almost perfect place for the Luxury Resort Project, as it also features an array of world-class assets.
Upon completion, the Luxury Resort Project will expand the room capacity of the island by 30%. Currently, the island boasts well over 3,000 hotel rooms. These include the Movenpick Resort, the Rixox Bab Al Bahr Hotel, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island as well as the Hampton. Meanwhile, the CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Hotels also gave insight into the project. Khalid Anib said that the firm is confident in its investment in RAK. Furthermore, the project will create strong returns for shareholders. Additionally, it will enhance the UAE as a leading hospitality as well as a travel destination. The project’s financing will be through a combination of its own liquidity alongside loans from conventional banks. Lastly, construction works will begin by Q1 of 2023 and completion set for Q4 of 2024.Â
