The works for the Sheikh Ammar Street Development project have officially reached 65% completion. This came to light when the General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman visited the project site.

During the visit, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi confirmed that works are projected to be done by the start of 2023. 

Scope and aim for the Sheikh Ammar Street Development project

The Sheikh Ammar Street Development project mainly aims to significantly improve traffic flow within the region of Ajman.

With a total investment of US$ 18.7M, it involves the conversion of Al Tallah Street into a two-way street. According to Al Nuaimi, the project’s main goal is to enlarge the street into a total of three lanes. These lanes will run from Al Rawda Bridge down to SHeikh Ammar Bridge.

Moreover, Abdul Rhaman added that the project features one of the emirate’s most important streets.

A vital component of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi’s launched initiative

The Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi launched an initiative whose aim is to improve the country’s infrastructure. The Sheikh Ammar Street Development project is a vital part of the first package of this initiative.

The initiative also aims to make the region a leading and modern international city, especially in terms of construction and architecture. Impressively, the city is the fifth largest in the United Arab Emirates after Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Al Ain.

Furthermore, the city is also home to one of the world’s largest ship manufacturing firms, Arab Heavy industries. Further proving just how significant the street development project is for the emirate.
