Located at the intersection of Main Street and Burton Avenue, the eight-story mixed-use structure will be complemented by two-story retail areas along both streets. This will offer neighborhood attraction retailers that are easily accessible and pull into the surrounding community.

Furthermore, One Burton will draw homeowners who frequently use public transportation due to its proximity to TRAX access. As a campus designed with pedestrians in mind, it will improve downtown South Salt Lake’s walkability as well.

This all-encompassing and cutting-edge life, work, and play environment will make One Burton a sought-after location for people interested in a lifestyle focused on the community.

Expectations for the project

“South Salt Lake is pleased to have this new development in our downtown. With its lively, well-designed residences and streetscape, One Burton will enhance Main Street’s personality. Furthermore, this project will improve downtown walkability and is well-connected to a variety of transit choices,” said Mayor Wood.

One Burton will serve as the benchmark for the kind of people-centered progress that residents of South Salt Lake will come to expect. According to Jon Moody, the project executive with Jacobsen Construction in charge of the work, these residences will create the kind of vibrant, linked neighborhood that breathes fresh life into an entire community.
