According to Public Works Minister Ruth-Coker-Collins, construction has begun on the access road corridor that runs from Battery Factory to Bali Island. The road was inspected by the works minister and ministry experts on Wednesday.

After the Legislature enacted an Act designating Bali Island as the Mohatma Gandhi Convention Center, President Weah signed it into law at the end of December 2018. Gandhi is one of the founding fathers of India.

Furthermore, at the time, President Weah declared that the Government of Liberia (GOL) will build a conference center with a capacity of 5,000 people. As well as other facilities on Bali Island, which is close to Bushrod Island.
