Foundation stone has been laid for the construction of O West Club in Egypt, which is a part of the O West fully integrated township project that is being implemented in 6th of October City, Giza Governorate, Cairo.
Sitting on an area of 38 feddan, the close to US$ 51M O West Club, according to Tarek Kamel, the CEO of O West City, will include a main football pitch, 5 multi-sized sub-courts, multi-purpose courts for volleyball and basketball, tennis courts, Olympic swimming pools, gymnastics, and battalion halls, at the level of sports facilities.
There will also be private facilities for social, cultural, and artistic activities, and a hall that will be equipped to host artistic concerts, conferences, and exhibitions.

The O West City stated that the actual construction will start within a few days, and in March 2022, the management company that will take over the club will be announced. The club is expected to be opened in 2024.
Launch of the first phase of the HillSide Villas
The laying of the foundation stone of the O West Club in Egypt comes barely three months after the launch of the first phase of the HillSide Villas.
During the launch of the latter, the company (O West) whose parent company is Orascom Development Holding (ODH), said that the project was launched as a result of the growing demand for O West units, adding that HillSide Villas is a part of Qemet neighborhood launched in the first quarter of 2021.
Up to the date of the launch of the first phase of the HillSide Villas, O West had built a total of 406 villas and started the construction of five international schools in the first quarter of 2021. It also had plans to start the construction of 185 apartments in June.
In addition to the villas, international schools, and the O West Club, the O West master plan also includes a business district and a hotel area.
