The Hotel Elkhart in Elkhart, Indiana, recently celebrated the grand opening after the Cressy Commercial Real Estate completed construction after over two years of undergoing works and delays brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The property was originally constructed as a hotel in 1923. It featured a restaurant, coffee shop, and various meeting spaces. During this time, it served as a hub for travelers, business leaders. Even some notable people in history such as Robert Kennedy and Ed Sullivan. The building functioned as a hotel until the early 1970s and then was utilized as an apartment complex and office tower.

The property offers 93 guest rooms, a ballroom. It also has two restaurants, a meeting space, and a rooftop bar. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served in Relish Café & Convections. The Corner Bar rightfully placed on the corner of Main Street and Marion Street, offers small plates, high-end cocktails, and lite-fare dinner. Additionally, the newly redesigned Preludepre-function and Aria Ballroom space located on the ninth floor will accommodate larger groups such as corporate events, weddings, and conferences. “We’re incredibly excited to see the Indiana Hotel Elkhart brought back to life. These are the ancestral lands of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and are honored to be a partner on this investment,” said Julio Martinez, CEO of Mno-Bmadsen.
“Very painstakingly detailed process for the developer, the owner. and the architects. We brought back a lot of the original luster to the building and the architectural details, just reiterating the authentic renovation of the Indiana Hotel Elkhart. We’ve got a wonderful ballroom at the very top where we brought back a lot of that original architectural detail, wonderful views,” said Cressy Commercial Real Estate Senior Vice President Eddie Bradley.
