New Empire Corp is planning to build a 150-unit Flatbush condominium project in Brooklyn, New York. The developer recently purchased two neighboring plots for $18 million, which total 37,793 square feet combined. The locations of the plots are 757-767 Flatbush Avenue and 21 Lenox Road.

However, the newly acquired properties are currently occupied by some existing buildings, including an industrial facility and several shops. Therefore, the developer would have to demolish all existing buildings on both sites, to move forward with the Flatbush condominium project.

Development plans for the Flatbush condominium project

New Empire is yet to finalize the design plans or time schedule for the 150-unit Flatbush condominium project. But the company has said the development will include one- and two-bedroom units, as well as ground-floor retail spaces. Additionally, residents will have access to a full suite of indoor and outdoor amenities on the property, including landscaped green spaces.

The project’s location is right along the Flatbush Avenue retail corridor, and this provides easy access to amenities within the area. Especially Prospect Park which is just one block away from the development. The nearby Prospect Park features numerous amenities which include a skating rink, bike paths, Prospect Park zoo, and a tennis center. Additionally, the project provides easy access to Manhattan, since it’s in close proximity to Parkside Avenue and Winthrop Street subway stations.

The new Flatbush condominium project is New Empire’s fourth and latest project so far. New Empire’s Chairman, Bentley Zhao, said the company would build on the successful sales of the nearby 567 Ocean project. Therefore, he said their plans for the new project will also incorporate similar living experiences. Zhao said New Empire prioritizes quality construction and bringing attainable luxury to such a vibrant and fast-growing community.

Besides the new Flatbush condominium project, New Empire is also working on other condominium projects in New York City’s metro area. Earlier this year, New Empire purchased 24-01 Queens Plaza in Long Island City. The developer intends to build another condo project on the new site, which will likely break ground by spring 2023.
