Saudi Sports for All Federation-SFA multipurpose sports facility in Dammam has been opened to the public.

This was announced by SFA, a proactive community sport and wellness organization in Saudi Arabia. The organization was established with an of increasing physical activity in the Middle East country. SFA multipurpose sports facility in Dammam is the latest offering from the federation towards the promotion of overall physical activity in Saudi Arabia.

Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal AL Saud, the President of SFA presided over the opening ceremony. The deputy minister of sports and the managing director of SFA alongside other dignitaries were also present.

Features of the SFA multipurpose sports facility in Dammam

The state-of-the-art facility has the capacity to comfortably accommodate 150,000 people. It features over nine courts. It will thus be able to host a wide range of physical and sports activities. These include volleyball, handball, basketball as well as table tennis.

The SFA sports facility in Dammam aims to encourage as many people to embrace a more active and fit lifestyle. Thus, its design placed focus on the well-being, preference, and health of the wider community in mind. Moreover, groups, as well as individuals, will be able to book facilities at the Dome through the SFA App.

The seamless digital experience aims to contribute towards the project’s delivery of convenience. The multipurpose destination is also designed to host community programs and corporate events. Additionally, it will host educational engagements that promote sports development. These will include inter-school, federation, and inter-university events.

Whiled at the opening ceremony, the Saudi Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, spoke about the project. He noted that the facilities are an embodiment of the country’s leadership provided to the sports sector.
