Fersa has officially opened its new state-of-the-art manufacturing factory in Jiaxing, China. The new bearing and mobility solutions manufacturing site was part of a €37 million investment made by Fersa over five years ago. Handling a capacity of 30,000 square meters, the new site will expand Fersa’s global footprint as it ventures more into the East. The new facility will replaces the existing one in the same site.

Fersa’s new €37 million manufacturing facility in China
The significant €37 million investment by Fersa in the global east will not only reinforce the company’s growth and innovation base, but also double its production capacity to approximately 28,000 bearings annually in China. This will be fully realized once the facility is in full operation.
Fersa’s new manufacturing facility in China also features a good number of tweaks worth of a “state-of-the-art” commendation. These include a number of new-generation bearing manufacturing lines, automation in the production sections, and new product testing kits. Also in the new mix are the “industry-leading” quality control lines. The very late of tech in manufacturing and R&D centers were also set up in the new facility.
In attendance to mark the official inauguration of the facility were, Director of Foreign Affairs of Jiaxing and the General Manager of Fersa China, among others. “This new facility underscores our dedication and focus on meeting growing demand for high-performance solutions in the automotive and industrial sectors,” said Miguel Alquezar, General Manager of Fersa China.

Outlook on the new Fersa facility in China
Other than fulfilling the company’s ambitions, this event also marks a pivotal role in Jiaxing’s economic development. This is especially so as Jiaxing houses a port, and is a know logistics and industrial hub. Fersa’s new manufacturing facility in China will not be plausibly strained in taking-off in the markets as previous connections had already been established. This includes partnerships with key OEMs and suppliers in the region. Also in line is another facility in India.
Fersa’s new manufacturing facility in China will feature in the 6 facilities it operates across Europe and Asia. China operations have been on since 2011, with the opening of a logistics hub in 2013, a tech center two years later, and more since. Partnership with Hanking also saw to the opening of another large bearings manufacturing facility in Shengyang, China. Moreover, with a bearing and mobility solutions market in over 100 countries, this feat is nonetheless, an investment to expand its global footprint.
