Twed Heights is a 23 storey complex under construction on Plot 18 Kyandondo Road and Plot 16 Lourdel Road. The mixed-use development comprises several high-end meeting and conferencing facilities including a ballroom for up to 500 guests, a 518-car park, spa and fitness centre and outdoor pool.
Twed Heights will be built on a 1200 sq meters piece of land to international standards in the upscale Nakasero suburb in central Kampala. Hilton Hotels signed a Management Agreement with TWED Property Development Company (TWED) in April 2019, to bring its flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand to Uganda.
The 244-guest room hotel will comprise of multiple F&B outlets across the hotel, offering a wide range of dining outlets to include a destination sports bar and a sky bar with city, golf course and lake views. Guests will have the option to choose between upscale guest rooms and a range of suites, including a Presidential Suite.
TWED Property Development
TWED employs over 35 permanent employees for property development and facility management who include administration staff, property managers, and security & maintenance personnel.
The company also outsources specialized consultants for particular tasks/consultancies and these range from architects, civil, structure, electrical and mechanical engineers, surveyors, legal, tax and financial advisors. On occasional basis, TWED hires screened service providers, contractors and subcontractors, who usually come in when called upon, for respective duties including: plumbers, masons, electricians, carpenters, etc.
