Unlike conventional data centers, these campuses require extensive electrical infrastructure, water management systems, high-capacity fiber networks, and resilient building designs. Recent developments also highlight NVIDIA’s growing role in financing AI infrastructure. Reports indicate the company is supporting major long-term data center investments that could accelerate future phases of the Stargate program while ensuring sufficient computing capacity for expanding AI workloads.

The initiative also encourages collaboration with architecture, engineering, construction, power, and land development firms. OpenAI previously invited qualified companies to participate through requests for proposals and qualification processes covering future sites.
