Vantage Data Centers’ £250 million LHR21 data center in Park Royal, West London, has been completed, with the main contractor, Glencar Construction, confirming completion on January 14, 2026.
The six-storey facility spans 194,000 sq ft (18,000 sq m) and provides 20MW of IT capacity. This is intended to support demand for high-density digital infrastructure in the London market.
Glencar delivered the civil, structural and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works. Glencar also did partial technical fit-out designed to support phased occupation. Additionally, the project features infrastructure for future waste-heat recovery and a large facade artwork, 11 Million Dots, by artist Rafael El Baz.
Vantage announced the facility’s opening in September 2025, marking a further expansion of its London operations. The completion continues to strengthens Vantage’s position in the UK data center market as operators seek to accommodate growing cloud and AI workloads within increasingly constrained urban sites.
This is as other developments such as Nscale’s £2bn AI data center project in Essex face uncertainty due to growing grid concerns in the UK.

The LHR21 facility, also referred to as LHR2, is part of Vantage Data Centers’ second London campus located in the Park Royal district of West London. The data center covers 194,000 sq ft and has about 20 MW of IT load capacity.

Plans Set for Construction of New LHR21 Facility for Vantage Data Centers in London
Reported April 27, 2023 – Contract for the construction of Vantage’s new data center in London has been awarded. The contract was awarded to Glencar, a leading construction delivery partner, growing to become one of the UK’s most successful privately-owned contractors.
Located close to Heathrow Airport, the new 194,000-square-foot, six-story data center will supply online data services to various businesses and enterprises. It is thus expected to generate 20 MW of output.
The 1.2-acre broader site campus is being prepared for construction by Glencar’s specialized data center team. The LHR21 facility for Vantage Data Centers in London is expected to complete in early 2025. The Glencar team also collaborated as part of the “Contractor Alliance” to complete LHR21 with Essex Services Group (ESG), a renowned leader in building services in the data center industry.

Project Scope
The LHR21 facility for Vantage Data Centers in London will feature the most state-of-the-art electrical equipment. These will provide maximum efficiency and reliability, advanced cooling systems designed to be climate independent. This is also being environmentally responsible and physical and electronic security systems, including industry-leading security management.
