Construction on the new Maybach International Group headquarters in Elgin, Illinois, has broken ground. The location gives close proximity to the four-way intersection at Interstate 90 and Randall Road. It is also about 25 miles northwest of Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

The complex will comprise over 47,000 square feet of warehousing and maintenance facilities. Additionally, there will be 15,000 square feet of offices. Due to the rise in e-commerce and surge in demand for trucks, Maybach has experienced substantial expansion over the past two years. The new headquarters will set Maybach apart from competitors in the market.

Maybach’s new warehouse and office complex will be constructed by PANCOR. It will provide space for 400–500 truck drivers and 50–60 on-site staff. Its contemporary architectural features include 57 vehicle parking spots, 206 trailer parking spaces, and eight cab parking spaces. Furthermore, 24-foot clear heights, 28 cross-dock docks, and 10 grade-level drive-in door (drive-through layout) docks.

There will be a 360-degree elevated view of the warehouse floor. A future soccer field might be supported by a strengthened roof.

Commentary on the new Illinois Maybach Headquarters

“We evaluated sites around the Chicago region when we originally started searching for a home for Maybach’s new headquarters,” said Kelly Disser, executive vice president for industrial services at NAI Hiffman.

Disser assisted Maybach in choosing the Madeline Lane location alongside Mike Freitag, vice president for industrial services at NAI Hiffman. Peter Kenny, director of project services at Hiffman National on the other hand provided advice on the facility’s design, construction schedule, and finances.

In addition, Disser said, “In the end, Elgin provided us with the ideal mix of a superb location for a logistics organization – close transportation infrastructure and experienced labor – and zoning and authorized use that was fit with the demands of our operations. We were able to develop a structure that supports Maybach’s continuing expansion and will appeal to employees for years to come by collaborating closely with Maybach’s team and Hiffman National.”

Disser located a separate location on Madeline Lane for the new GoldCoast Logistics corporate offices last year.
