A contract for the second phase of the Avenues Bahrain expansion project has officially been awarded. This was revealed by The Avenues Company W.L.L., a wholly owned subsidiary of Al-Sorouh Management Company W.L.L.
The contract was awarded to Nass Group. This is a diversified and dynamic industrial conglomerate and construction powerhouse headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
About the contract
The US$ 120M contract covers the addition of approximately 41,200 square meters of leasable space at the Avenues Bahrain. This will include two entertainment areas, 244 units, and a supermarket. Moreover, the contract entails the establishment of an ice rink alongside basement parking.

This project will, therefore, bring the total leasable area for both phases of the Avenues Bahrain expansion project to well about 80,000 square meters. Furthermore, owing to the contract, the promenade will also be extended by a total of 600 meters along Bahrain Bay to the west.
Construction works are set to commence in September 2022 and be completed by the first quarter of 2024.
Remarks on the Avenues Bahrain expansion project contract
The CEO of Mabanee COmpany spoke about the project. Mr. Waleed Khalid Alsharian said that they were proud to sign the project’s contract. In addition, he said that the project is one of the most unique tourist as well as commercial destinations in Bahrain.
Moreover, the CEO explained that the expansion plans will cement The Avenues-Bahrain as the largest development within Bahrain Bay. Furthermore, Mr. Waleed noted that the project aims to provide a different and unforgettable experience that is well beyond average shopping.
