Leading real estate tycoon, Hussain Sajwani-led DAMAC Properties, has officially unveiled the Ibiza Residential project in Dubai. The residential cluster is within the Mediterranean-inspired community, DAMAC Lagoons.

The project’s launch follows the successful delivery of Malta, Portofino, Nice, Malta, and Marbella. Additionally, the Ibiza Residential project’s launch also follows the successful delivery of Venice, Monte Carlo, and Costa Brava within the community development.

Ibiza Residential development to offer Mediterranean sensation experience

The project’s design includes the ‘Wonders of the Mediterranean’ concept at its core. As a result, each of the residential clusters features unique designs as well as architecture. The project’s clusters range from four to five-bedroom villas. Its location is right adjacent to DAMAC Hills alongside various malls, schools as well as entertainment centers, and hospitals.

In an effort to encourage and promote physical well-being, the project will include several bicycle trails. Additionally, the project will include kayaking, a zipline, paddle surfing, and a rock-climbing wall. Furthermore, the master community will feature a floating cinema, yoga meditation lawns, waterside cafes as well as outdoor art exhibits.

More on the development 

The Ibiza Residential project will also feature lagoon-facing infinity pools, a spa and beauty salon, and a meditation lounge alongside an Augmented Reality (AR) nature trail. Moreover, the residential development is confirmed to be based on the Spanish island that is renowned and popular for its beaches and nightlife.

The Senior Vice President of DAMAC said that the project’s launch is a continuation of efforts to set new benchmarks. More especially within contemporary communal living. Niall McLoughlin further added that the project strives to create a place where serenity, wonder, and relaxation are a priority.

While being able to enjoy high-end, residential living in Dubai, the Vice President noted that the project aims to offer a one-of-a-kind sensation of the Mediterranean experience.

Damac Lagoons Development Contract Awarded

A US$ 136M contract for Damac Lagoons Development has been awarded by Damac Properties, a Dubai-based luxury property developer. The contract was awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji Group, a conglomerate of 18 major companies from India that deliver end-to-end solutions in 6 business segments i.e. Infrastructure, Water, Real Estate, Engineering & Construction, and Energy and Financial Services.

The contract covers the construction of 847 villas. The works are expected to commence in April, this year. Referencing a statement made, upon completion, the 847 villas are said to feature white-washed and blue color interiors that will evoke or rather create quintessential motifs of the famous Mediterranean island paradise.

Expectations for the Damac Lagoons Development

According to the General Manager of Projects at Damac Properties, Mohammed Tahaineh, the Damac Lagoons Development project will contribute to the elevation of urban development in Dubai to newer heights. The project will convert 45 million square ft of land into a Mediterranean-inspired community that consists of white sandy beaches.

Tahaineh further revealed that the project will also feature several amenities which include but are not limited to a floating cinema, villas, townhouses, a nature pond, ornamental foliage as well as pathways, and bicycle tracks.

DAMAC Lagoons projects electrical substations contract awarded

The contract for the installation of electrical substations at DAMAC Lagoons has officially been awarded. The contract was awarded by DAMAC Properties to Danway EME.

The first substation, the completion of which is expected in 22 months, will be located within proximity to Hessa Street. Post-commission, the first sub-stations will boast a conversion capacity of 150MVA. Construction works for another 132/11 kV substation will begin simultaneously. All of the substations will reportedly include enhanced safety features, and they will adhere to the highest quality standards.

The building of the sub-stations will be under the supervision of Energoprojekt Entel Co. Approved by the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), the consultancy will comply with DEWA’s most strict specifications as well as regulations. Once operational the substations will provide power supply to areas of the community, including the Central Hub.

Comments on the award of the contract for the construction of the DAMAC Lagoons electrical substations

The General Manager of Projects at DAMAC Properties spoke about the project. Mohammed Tahaieh said that the contract awarding for the project is a milestone. He said that this serves as a reflection of DAMAC’s commitment to delivering the project on time.

General Manager further revealed the project’s scope of work. He said it includes the design, supply, construction as well as installation of the substations. Moreover, the scope of work includes the testing alongside the commissioning of the built electrical substations.

Main works contract for DAMAC Lagoons Nice cluster in Dubai awarded

A $74M+ main works contract for DAMAC Lagoons Nice cluster in Dubai has been awarded to China Nuclear Industry 22nd Construction Company (CNI22). The latter is a Chinese diversified company that offers design, survey, consulting, and contracting services. 

The contract was awarded by DAMAC Properties, a subsidiary of DAMAC Group. The company has been shaping the Middle East’s luxury real estate market since 1982. It has delivered iconic residential, commercial, and leisure properties that have been sold across and beyond the region.

An overview of the DAMAC Lagoons Nice cluster 

The development is one of the clusters that are being developed within the DAMAC Lagoons community. Other clusters in the community include the Costa Brava, Malta, and Venice as well as Portofino and Santorini clusters.

The DAMAC Lagoons Nice cluster includes a total of 510 residential units ranging from 6-bedroom villas to townhouses with 4 and 5-bedroom layouts. In addition to the residential units, the development features a dedicated Youth Hub that will serve as a delight to fitness enthusiasts. The hub will include a skate park as well as bicycle trails.

Moreover, the cluster will include beach areas as well as splash pools that will serve as a picturesque reminisce of the idyllic French city. Its aim is to be the adventure capital at DAMAC Lagoons.

Development of the other clusters 

Prior to the award of the Nice cluster contract, the DAMAC Lagoons developer awarded a $163M construction contract for the Costa Brava cluster. The contract was awarded to  Pivot Engineering and General Contracting in June 2022.

In May of the same year, a $136M main contract for the Santorini cluster was awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji Co, a global diversified organization, delivering sustainable engineering solutions.

Last month, DAMAC Properties launched Marbella. The latter is the seventh residential cluster that was preceded by Portofino, Venice, Malta, Nice, Santorini, and Costa Brava clusters.
