The Gold Coast Airport expansion project has finally been completed after approximately three years of implementation. The completion of the entire project was marked with the completion of its $260M terminal expansion. 

The modern three-level terminal, the expansion of which created well over 2,000 local jobs, spans a total area of 30,000 meters squared. It includes six new gates. These allow for a total number of 19 aircraft to now be accommodated, while on the tarmac.

Additionally, the new Gold Coast Airport terminal features new border control facilities alongside four glass aerobridges and a departure lounge.
