The development seeks to boost the hotel inventory of the host region, including the luxury segment. It is thus set to add over 47,000 hotel rooms by 2030. Moreover, it will comprise open and green spaces comprising covering approximately 63% of the project’s total land area. That means only about 83,000 sqm will be a built-up area.

Additionally, Rua Al Madinah offers a variety of integrated transport solutions. These include a metro station, underground parking, and nine bus stops for visitors alongside tracks for self-driving vehicles. The introduction of the transport solutions is to facilitate visitor access to the prophet’s mosque. Additionally, they will support both commercial and residential activity while contributing to the creation of job opportunities.

According to Rua Al Madinah Holding Company, the project will also contribute to achieving the goals of the Hajj, Umrah, and travel sectors outlined in Vision 2030. Through the project, the company will revive the city’s cultural and architectural heritage, which has been carefully considered throughout the development process.
