The development remains a central component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, with ongoing works reflecting steady momentum across multiple packages. While earlier coverage focused on the project’s launch, current updates highlight active delivery on key infrastructure and track elements.

Qiddiya Speed Park Project Status Update

Construction works on the Qiddiya Speed Park project are ongoing, with the racetrack package already awarded and under execution. Contractors are advancing earthworks, track formation, and supporting infrastructure across the site. Moreover, coordination with utilities and access roads continues to ensure alignment with the wider masterplan.

The racetrack forms the core of the development and is designed to meet FIA Grade 1 standards. Additionally, supporting facilities such as pit buildings, grandstands, and service infrastructure are progressing in phases. Therefore, the project is steadily moving toward its next construction milestones.

Integration Within Qiddiya Entertainment City

The Qiddiya Speed Park project sits at the heart of the larger Qiddiya Entertainment City development. Furthermore, it connects directly with surrounding attractions, including theme parks, hospitality zones, and cultural venues. This integration supports a comprehensive entertainment ecosystem designed to attract global visitors.

Elsewhere within Qiddiya, major assets continue to advance. Six Flags Qiddiya has reached completion, while Aquarabia waterpark is nearing operational readiness. Meanwhile, infrastructure packages such as roads and utilities are progressing in parallel. Consequently, the Speed Park development aligns with broader site readiness.

Similar projects such $266 million Qiddiya East Village project, tendered on March 2026 as are still being integrated within the city program  by Qiddiya Investment Company thus advancing Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector and Vision 2030 goals.

Design and Strategic Role

The circuit design incorporates advanced engineering and significant elevation changes to enhance racing performance and spectator experience. Moreover, the layout includes signature elements intended to distinguish it among global Formula 1 venues. This positioning strengthens Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a major motorsport destination.

Strategically, the Qiddiya Speed Park project supports economic diversification by expanding sports tourism. Additionally, it complements existing motorsport infrastructure within the Kingdom. Therefore, the development plays a key role in long-term national planning.

Current Bids Being Evaluated on a 5,300 seat e-games Arena at Qiddiya’s Sports Complex and Speed Park

Current bids are being placed in consideration as the client is also exploring on the prospects of awarding a contract on an e-games arena construction within Qiddiya’s sports complex and Speed Park. Qiddiya Investment Company is hoping to construct a 5,300 seat e-games arena at the Qiddiya’s sports complex to host e-games tournaments and matches. The venue will provide space for local and international competitions. Qiddiya’s Speed Park and sports complex will also include the construction of a stadium, a multi-sports hub, a training facility, two golf courses, and an aquatic center. Various companies also seek to be awarded tenders on construction of a water supply project within Qiddiya’s Sports Resort.
