The Habshan Complex Project to Contribute to ADNOC’s Ambitious Goals
In an effort to scale up its gas production capacity, Abu Dhabi is spending billions of dollars. Furthermore, the country strives to emerge as a key player within the global blue hydrogen market. As a whole, the project’s contract awarding has been marked as one of the largest onshore EPC deals by ADNOC in 2023.
ADNOC Gas boasts a total of eight offshore and onshore sites. According to official reports, its production capacity is 10 billion cubic feet a day. The company’s creation is a result of the merging of LNG operations and ADNOC’s gas processing in November 2022.
Quite impressively, ANOC’s pipeline network spans over 3,250 kilometres. Furthermore, the firm targets to extend the pipeline by 500 kilometres for better connection to the Northern Emirates.
Taking it a step further, the Abu Dhabi-based form signed a three-year agreement with TotalEnergies in May. Thus, from 2023 to 2025, ANDOC Gas will export LNG. This, in turn, will further cement its position as a reliable and efficient global supplier of natural gas.
