Pacific Group has broken ground on Helios, a 135-acre medical campus located in North Las Vegas. Construction will take place in three phases.

The first phase will include 1.3 million square feet of medical office and medical technology space. The second phase, on the other hand, will be 250,000 square feet of health and wellness-focused retail. Lastly, the third phase will have 900,000 square feet of research and development space with incubator spaces.

Furthermore, 290 hotel rooms spread across two buildings; and seven restaurants, four of which will be vegan restaurants.

The development’s hospital component will provide an emergency room, surgical services, and critical care. A sports rehabilitation center, educational facilities, testing labs, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and trauma therapy are some of the treatments offered.

Further, radiography, imaging, urology, gastrointestinal care, pre-and post-natal care, and dentistry services are among the many outpatient treatments that will be provided. Helios’ research and development activities will concentrate on sustainable development, aerospace technology, and healthcare.

The project’s retail area will house local restaurants and bars, and sports facilities. Additionally, grocery stores, financial institutions, daycare facilities, and stores. There was no mention of a development timeline.

Further, the new construction will be situated at the junction of North Pecos Road and County Road 215. This will provide easy access to the neighboring VA Medical Center as well as a planned bicycle route along the 215 Beltway.

The project’s construction expenses are anticipated to range between $4.5 billion and $5 billion.
